Survived a rugged trip across Iceland
I just crossed Iceland unsupported and the boot performed admirably. It was mostly waterproof, felt good on the feet on long road walks and steep technical hikes even and crossing sharp volcanic rock, even with a starting pack weight of 62lbs. Sole barely looks worn after 400 miles, laces are intact...

Lots of potential, but...
The Trailventure 2 WP is a light weight, mid-height waterproof show with fantastic grip. With the large toe box, it is comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately, there seem to be fit and manufacturing issues. I purchased two pairs - I won't wear either for hiking anymore, so they basically co...

Hiking and work shoes.
These boots are rockin in the Appalachians
I've finally found a great fitting boot! No more limping back to the trailhead after only a couple of miles. I can hike in these all day long. The toe box to me is a perfect fit while the heel is snug. They provide good stability when your foot is off the horizontal, and are light as a feather. They seem to have a very good rock guard in the inner sole also. Love these boots!

The Trailventure 2 WP provides versatile comfort and support to hike though snow, ice, mud, and rocks with ease. They made my Grand Canyon trip great!
A gem of a shoe for moderate hiking.
I've used the Trailventure WP's for a full season now and I'm happy to have them in my inventory. I consider these to be a real gem of a shoe for dayhiking on trail or moderate low-angle scrambling. The traction can get a bit overwhelmed by steeper terrain. With a daypack on, I think the shoes are comfortable even on longer hikes thanks to its light weight, wide footbox, and low heel drop. I would rate these as moderately supportive and protective, and would probably select a different shoe for overnight trips with a heavier pack. I've had no problems with waterproofing.

Comments about Trailventure 2 WP
In prep for our ventures in Alaskan waters this year, I needed a WP boot that wouldn't kill my old legs n feet. These were the perfect choice. Just enough warmth and perfect weight to keep me moving all day & still be able to complete HIIT workouts and elliptical workouts with and without 20# vest...at sea! Love them and will probably continue to buy this model.

The first time I put on there was no break in period. Was comfortable and roomy.
The shape of the foot box is great.
I tried about 5 different pairs of boots until I finally settled on these. They are my absolute favorite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a wide toe box boot. I had to get a half size bigger than my regular shoe size since the waterproof liner adds some thickness to the interior. But usually you want to slightly size up anyway when buying hiking boots since your feet swell after a long day on the trail. Great grip. Great footbox. Perfect boot. Had to try 5 different brands of boots before settling with this pair. I even tried the previous model of this shoe and didn't like it. So whatever you guys did for this model its perfect.

Great winter boot
These were recommended after I gave up on Altra's due to their poor durability. One of the best boots for older feet with arthritis. They are very comfortable, fit well with the wide toe box, and, so far, have been very durable. I am using them for winter activities of hiking, snow-showing, and fat-tire biking. They have kept my feet dry and also warm even down to 0 F., as long as I am moving. I think they will be too warm for summer use, so may look at the non WP version for warmer weather use.
I've tried a lot of low drop hikers... these are the best!
I've tried a lot of low drop hikers... Merrell, Astral and Altra over 10 yrs. These are by far the best I've worn out of the box. While, I've yet to take them on the trail, I can already tell these are going to be amazing. The large toe box allows for splay, but as opposed to other brands, my foot seems to also stay in place and not float around. The Vibram Megagrip is incredible. While I normally choose a zero drop, the 5mm is barely noticeable. Then there is the comfort. Wow! Love these boots!
Great update to the original Trailventure
The Trailventure 2 is a great update to the original version. The upper is improved and everything else about the boot is great - good fit, nice midsole, and grippy outsole.
