Survived a rugged trip across Iceland
I just crossed Iceland unsupported and the boot performed admirably. It was mostly waterproof, felt good on the feet on long road walks and steep technical hikes even and crossing sharp volcanic rock, even with a starting pack weight of 62lbs. Sole barely looks worn after 400 miles, laces are intact...

Too narrow at mid foot, no arch support
I have slightly wider feet, and very fat toes that form a flat and linear 20 degree line from the tip of the big toe to the pinky toe, with a high arch. The trailventure2 wp has a roomy toe box, however the outer edge of the toe box curves inward too soon, so there is a chance of jamming the pinky t...

I've tried a lot of low drop hikers... these are the best!
I've tried a lot of low drop hikers... Merrell, Astral and Altra over 10 yrs. These are by far the best I've worn out of the box. While, I've yet to take them on the trail, I can already tell these are going to be amazing. The large toe box allows for splay, but as opposed to other brands, my foot seems to also stay in place and not float around. The Vibram Megagrip is incredible. While I normally choose a zero drop, the 5mm is barely noticeable. Then there is the comfort. Wow! Love these boots!
Great update to the original Trailventure
The Trailventure 2 is a great update to the original version. The upper is improved and everything else about the boot is great - good fit, nice midsole, and grippy outsole.
I love the wide toe box and the fit
I purchased my trailventure 2WP's at an outdoor shop in Black Mountain NC. Wore them on my first hike today. The boots worked out great. I love the wider toe box and the insoles fit my feet well. The shoe features a good balance between cushioning and stability with plenty of ankle support. I wear a 13 wide, and struggle to find shoes that fit. These Topo's have enough room that my forefoot does not feel cramped at the end of the day.

Comments about Trailventure 2 WP
These are the most comfortable and most useful hiking boots I have ever worn. Can leave them on all day and I still don't want to take them off at the end of the evening. This shoe is the right capture of the best concepts from the minimalist community and the more traditional.
Excellent fit and comfort

Working, lots of walking and wetness.
Sole barely looks worn after 400 miles, laces are intact and toes are just beginning to peel, which usually happens way earlier for most well-used footwear for me. Much lighter than all other options. Amazing. If you need a boot, but you primarily use trail runners and loathe the idea of wearing something heavy, go with this. I do agree with one review that on long steep downhills, these don't provide a ton support, but with good technique and poles, that shouldn't be a problem. Certainly more support than trail runners. Make sure to lace 'em up tight though, as they do tend to untie, but that's a small price to pay for such an outstanding shoe. I almost never write reviews, but I knew after my trip that I had to provide a review on these as they performed above expectation.
Really good shoe
Hiked in the Canadian Rockies: Banff, Jaspar trails for a week. This shoe felt really comfortable. Was true to size. Wide toe box meant i did not feel the squeeze in front. At the end of 10 miles of hiking, still felt good wearing the shoe. Walking through slushy ground and some small streams without trouble. Grip around ankle felt very good. Not the most important but still to be mentioned: When driving a car with these shoes or travelling on a plane (taking it off and on during security), it was easy. No need to carry another pair of shoes for non-hiking functions.
