The all-new MT-3 features a lightweight rip-stop mesh upper with printed overlays and midfoot drainage ports for water release and quick drying. The platform gets an upgrade, using the same midsole and outsole platform offered on the original Terraventure along with a 5mm anti-microbial Ortholite® footbed. With no rockplate, the MT-3 remains light and versatile, with improved durability and great trail/road hybrid performance.
Anatomical toe box allows toes to spread naturally and comfortably.
Combines multidirectional traction, heel braking lugs, and mud/snow release design features.
Our mid-level drop provides a near neutral platform for a more natural running experience.
Comfortable, anti-compression footbed with anti-microbial properties.

I ordered a pair of these shoes expecting them to be an upgrade to the MT-2 that I own. Not so- they have changed the shoelace configuration that is not good, and the place inside the shoe where the tongue attaches to the top is now bulky and irritating. I had to send them back. Now I'm trying to buy other MT-2 shoes before they disappear!!!!!
Super comfortable, nice cushioning with low drop - highly recommend for pavement, service roads and trails - great choice for transition running across different substrates!
I am really loving these straight out of the box! I am new to Topo but I am glad I discovered this brand through online YouTube reviews. I needed a shoe with a wide toe box, mid-level cushioning, and that could easily transition between trail running, road running, and hiking. This seems to be pretty perfect for that. I love the bright orange-red color too. I am looking forward to wearing this in the Grand Canyon this fall!. I liked them so much I bought my husband a pair!
I'm a little confused and disappointed by the changes from the MT-2. The previous model was lightweight, flexible, and just enough cushion for short to marathon/50k distances. They made a great racer for faster-paced runs on not-super-technical terrain.
This new model is significantly heavier and stiffer in the sole, and the cushioning that's there is quite firm. It seems they've lost all the best aspects of the MT-2, and turned this into a low-end, run-of-the-mill trail shoe, without the low-end price point!
The classic Topo fit in the upper is still there, which is the only reason I didn't give it only 1 star.
Love, love, love them! As a former MT-2 wearer, I was super excited when these came out. My runs have changed recently to be more gravel based than road so was looking for a more rugged shoe to handle the terrain. These more than fit the bill. So happy with this purchase! As an ambassador in can't thank Topo enough for making shoes to meet all my needs.
MT2 are my favorite shoe, but I always thought they could use a little more cushion. I went through four pairs. I was excited to see the MT3 has more cushioning. These shoes ended up hurting my feet. Ordered the same size I normal do and they were too small and too tight. I switch between road and trail and used these as my road shoes. I did try them out on the trail once. I gave these shoes a try for a month and on a long run got a black toe nail which doesn't happen for me unless I stub my toe. The orange color is more orange/red which I wasn't a fan of. If the shoes fit better I think they would have been great because the cushioning was nice. I already go up half a size and I don't think going up another half is going to solve the problem of being too narrow. I'll still gladly try a newer version of this shoe in the future if Topo has one. Glad I was able to return the shoes.
