In the new Fli-Lyte 3, we eliminated almost all printed overlays to make it lighter and more breathable using a new engineered mesh upper to secure the foot over the platform. The addition of our 5mm anti-microbial Ortholite® footbed gives the shoe a softer ride without sacrificing midsole response. A 23mm X 20mm stack height offers cushioning without losing flexibility and ground feel for a more natural running experience.
Anatomical toe box allows toes to spread naturally and comfortably.
For a '2nd Skin' fit and feel.
Our mid-level drop provides a near neutral platform for a more natural running experience.
Comfortable, anti-compression footbed with anti-microbial properties.
Beat shoe I have ever worn. I didn’t know my feet could feel happy. Who knew feet had emotions?! I have a 2E forefoot and small heel and these are perfect. I have never get this excited to wear a shoe!!
I loved my Topos ST-2. I reordered Topos and found out the ST-2's were discontinued. The ST-3 are too narrow and short. I have problem feet with a bunion on my right foot. I need the wider toe box. I loved the ST-2's. Please go back to the orignial sizing. I do not want to try the Fli-Lyte-3's because I am concerned that I will experience a shoe that is too narrow and too short. Please reconsider how wonderful your ST-2 was and go back to it. If you don't have a wide foot, this may be the perfect shoe for you.
These are my first pair of Topo’s, and I’m hooked!! The best I’ve felt in running sneakers in years. Extremely lightweight, yet supportive and incredibly comfortable. I normally size up a half size in running shoes and that was perfect for these. I would love to see these in even more colors.
Very comfortable, just the right balance between cushion and flexion.
My only gripe with Topo is that they don't provide long enough shoelaces for the heel lock lacing technique that I use. Every other brand seems to have long enough laces but yours are just barely long enough to tie as it is!
When the Fli-Lyte3 came out, the promos and customer service stated the update would be on the same exact platform as the 2s. I questioned why the specs were different for the 3s vs the 2s and was told it was just an error. Months later it appears the specs perhaps weren't an error as they haven't changed. It seems like a silly thing, but I've got problem feet and the smallest thing can make a huge difference to me. I did order the Fli-Lyte3 to try; I love how it fits and feels, but I think the changes made to the shoe are causing me increased problems again. This is a big deal as they've been the only shoes I could wear out of the zillions available due to anatomical issues. I'm going to try the Phantom since the support and pliability specs are similar to the Fli-Lyte2, although I'm concerned the cushioning may not work for my unstable pelvis. Hopefully in future updates to the Fli-Lyte series you'll go back to what the 2's were, especially in regards to support and pliability.
These shoes are really comfortable! I actually feel my feet are supported with a soft cushion or pillow underneath! They are so light, supporting, and extremely comfortable! I am looking forward to ordering another pair soon!
Just to note: I had no issue with the sizing or the shoe feeling short! This wasn't an issue!
I love the UltraFly and was excited to try something different. Unfortunately, these are shorter and, more significantly, narrower! I have a small bunion on one foot and I can not wear this shoe. I'm bummed! I too have a hole in my UltraFly material and I've never worn out a pair of shoes in my life! Love Topo Athletic but there are some issues that need to be addressed.
I really wanted to love this shoe as much as I love my other three pairs of Topo running shoes, however I had to return them today. The size 12 is a quarter to half size smaller than my other size 12's. What happened? I even lined up my Magnifly2's and Ultrafly2's to visually gauge the difference and these Fli-lyte's were definitely smaller. If inconsistent sizing continues to be an issue I will have to abandon this brand, which I really don't want to do and run exclusively in Altras. Everything else about the shoe was fantastic but I cannot have my toes bumping up against the top of the shoe, especially when I know how wonderful the other styles feel. I hope this issue is addressed and corrected. If so, I'll be back.
*Topo note: Early feedback from customers (including this reviewer) has been that the new Fli-Lyte 3 may run 1/4 size shorter than our other models. Not all customers have experienced this feeling but if you are in-between sizes we would suggest keeping this in mind when ordering.*
I became a Topo ambassador this year because I truly believe in this company and their shoes. I've been running in the Ultrafly 2's and the Ultraventures for a while now but when these came out, I decided to give them a try. For as long as I can remember, I've never been able to run in a neutral shoe or a shoe with less than 4-5mm drop due to previous history of injuries. But I've gotten a lot stronger in the year or so that I've been in Topos so I thought I would give them a go. As the Ultrafly's are not a heavy stability shoe and a 5mm drop, I was hoping it wouldn't be a shock to my foot. I was not disappointed. Super lightweight, just the right amount of cushion while still allowing me to really connect with the road. And of course, their signature wide toebox allowing my foot to spread out while staying snug in the heel so there is no slippage. They will be a regular in my rotation.
This is my 6th pair of Topos. I bought my usual size of 9. They fit perfect. I’m in love with them straight out of the box. I can’t wait to wear them tomorrow. I would buy this shoe in several more colors but the black pair with the white sole and no black grip doesn’t appeal to me. I hope the new mesh is more durable. My big toe has busted thru the uppers of every pair I own except for the ST model. This is just a really comfortable and nice looking shoe. Great job!
