Toe box is the classic Topo fit. Great grip for the trails for running and hiking. The boot gave the extra support I needed. Thank you, Topo!

Fantastic trail shoe!

Comments about Trailventure

These are light and comfortable without sacrificing support and traction. Because you are walking/hiking instead of running they put a little more cushion in the heel than with the trail shoes (I have MTN Racer and MT2), which was the right thing to do. I'm very fussy about shoes (wide foot, low arch, etc.) and these shoes fit like a glove with zero break-in required. Lacing system is great too. Best and most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever owned.

I took these boots on a quick 6 mile hike, climbing 2,700 feet on a smooth, hard trail. The large toe box is great. I am a fan of this design and will never squish my toes again. This design seems to improve my balance and feet seem to claw ahead on climbs. My Achilles is usually tender after hikes. The molded design (video) allows room and the results were good. Also, the drop is helpful for downhills vs a 0 drop, better cushioning. The boot was light and the lace lock was cool. I hate lacing up my leather boots that always unwind during lacing. I look forward to a rocky trail

I am a HUGE Topo fan. Was so looking forward to trying this new boot because of the midsole. Now that I've tried it, I LOVE the midsole and the outsole, but the upper is disappointing. I don't like the new locking lace system. It's nice when tightening the laces but kind of awkward unlacing them. Also, the waist of the shoe does not narrow down enough for my low volume foot. Most of the other Topo line fits me perfectly through the waist. The tongue is another issue. It kind of wrinkles up when tightening the laces. Finally, the high top on the boot, doesn't seem to offer any support. My recommendation to Topo would be to make the Trailventure 2 in a low top (as all the other Topo line) but keep with the AMAZING midsole.
