Solid trail shoe. Almost a do-all shoe.

This is the best value trail shoe I have ever bought. $100 is a bargain these days. The toe box is comfortable. The midfoot and heal are secure. Traction is great, could shed mud a little better.... An extremely comfortable shoe for running or hiking. I've put in several runs from 1-10 miles so far. No complaints.

This shoe doesn't make you roll forward or make you immediately feel quick but it does feel solid, light, and I forgot it was there eventually.

Awesome for longer distances!

As an ambassador and having wear tested the Terraventure for several months I would highly recommend these for longer distance hikes and races. They have a little extra cushion not only in the sole but also the upper for a very snug and comfortable fit. On a side note I would maybe go a 1/2 size up because of the extra cushion. The tread is a little more aggressive than other Topo shoes which is great for climbing hills and mountains and OCR races. They are also very durable and keep a secure fit for longer miles. A buddy of mine ran a 52+ mile trail race on very rough terrain around Lake Georgetown (Texas) in them a few weeks ago and raved about them!

Your Workhorse shoe on the trails

The terraventure is a great trail shoe If you are looking for a well rounded shoe, not too minimal or too bulky.

•Comfortable, padded toungue and heel

•Good protection from the rockplate in midfoot, and toe guard.

•Wide toe box to allow toes to display

•Good traction

•only downside could find is when shoe gets submerged in water, the padded heel and tongue can hold water and draining can take some time during your trail run

I am a Topo Athletic ambassador.

Terraventure is for everyone

The Terraventures are perfect for rugged, New England/BeastCoast (roots. eocks) trails and can also hold up on more compact, runnable trails/paths. they are light and comfy with good traction on wet rocks etc. I haven't tested them out on super muddy trails though. As a Topo Ambassador, these rank right up there with the Runventures.

"Go to" distance trail shoe

I've used the Terraventure in 50k and 50 mile trail runs with resulting happy feet!

I have bunions so the wide toe box helps my big toes splay and not become painful.

As a runner who was once "minimalist" I struggled to find a shoe that offered more protection without "getting in the way" before finding Topo and being chosen as an ambassador. Even the heavier duty Terraventure fits the bill for me!

On long trail runs I have been very happy to have the added protection of the flexible rock plate when my legs get heavy.

I have only had one issue with the Terraventure, around 250 miles the mesh, on the side, under the bottom lace lock began to fray. I put in many more miles in this pair without any apparent lack of functionality. I picked up a second pair and have not had the same problem after 300ish miles.
