Product Overview

A 30mm x 25mm stack height and 5mm drop makes the new Phantom Topo’s most cushioned road running shoe. Strategically placed rubber adds traction and durability where needed; Zipfoam™, a proprietary new midsole compound that delivers more cushioning and long-term resilience than traditional EVA. A breathable engineered mesh upper with lightly printed overlays and an external TPU heel counter help keep the runner secure over the platform of these men's road running trainers.

After a happy 550 miles, I definitely recommend the phantom. I'm a 200lbs guy that pushes a double stroller half the runs. These shoes went the distance. On solo runs I was able to get speed out of the shoe, nice and responsive. The first 50 miles were very stiff. I had to put a different insole in to help. After that it broke in perfectly. Around 200 miles the interior heal ripped but was not affecting the feel. They are a bit hot on 90+days. The sole could keep going. I have never had a shoe stay responsive so long. Oh yeah and no black toenails!

...but I would also check for different insole options. The arch I'd just a little too far back for me. A comfortable, lightweight shoe all the same.

These feel great- I love the roomy toe box. I have a chronic sesamoid fracture with avascular necrosis and these shoes are the only brand I've found that enables me to run with very minimal pain!

I normaly wear a 10 in other branda but had to go down half a size. Very comfy. Foam is squishy but not too squishy. Lock down of foot in shoe is spot on. Would definitely recomend. Will buy again

Just as the headline says, I typically don't leave reviews. But I felt compelled to write about the Phantom because it's one of the sleekest, most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I'm a runner who for years ran in Nike Air, then later in Brooks Ghost. However, Topo in my opinion is a cut about any of these brands. Extremely comfortable, they leave ample room in the toebox and enough sole cushion to be comfortable without feeling too "bouncy." And last...the shape. I love the aesthetics of these shoes, completely balanced and symmetrical, with clean lines and understated detailing. They looked just as good with a pair of jeans as they do with athletic shorts.

This Marathoner's Dream Shoe!

I have now owned 3 pair of the Topo Phantoms and I love them! I have worn them for Half Marathons and Marathons. I wore them in the 2019 New York City Marathon and the 2020 Myrtle Beach Marathon and I wear them for all my longer training runs. I did buy a half size larger after my first pair. I'm 6' and about 200lbs so I love the cushioning of this model shoe. The Zip Foam really holds up well and the mesh keeps my feet from getting too hot. I highly recommend this comfortable shoe!

Comments about Phantom

The Phantom works great with my custom orthotics due to the neutral, wider based forefoot platform. I love the 5mm drop for a more natural running experience rather than the Brooks Dyad line of shoes that I have been wearing for the past 7 plus years. My new go to shoes for road and light trail running and racing will definitely be Topo's!!

Problem Feet

Comments about Phantom

Love this brand for my problem feet. Wide toe boxes are a must for my surgical foot. I had a neuroma removed and have fat pad atrophy. There is enough padding that helps to relieve pressure on my surgical area. I really like the fit of Topos in general in comparison with Altras. The Altras fit is a bit sloppy where Topos fit like a regular running shoe with the right amount of snugness in the middle of my foot as well as the heel.
