The Fli-Lyte 2 offers a soft, highly responsive and flexible ride, suitable for a variety of distances and speeds. An updated upper mesh offers additional structure and durability without sacrificing weight or breathability. The new platform is slightly softer and more flexible than our original, delivering a more natural feel.

For a '2nd Skin' fit and feel.
Eliminates seams while reducing weight.
Our mid-level drop provides a near neutral platform for a more natural running experience.
As an ambassador for Topo I mostly test out their trail shoes but when I do run the road and for longer distances I usually wear the Fli-lyte 2's. They have more cushion than say the ST-2's but are still very lightweight. I also love the orange stylish color and wear mine for casual wear all the time. Super comfortable shoe for walking, short runs, and long runs.
Topo hit a homerun with Fli-lyte2! My feet’s pillow shoes on road! I suffered from foot pain during my road running. I tried all types of shoes adidas, mizuno, new balance, Nike none helped my pain until topo came around!
The wide toe box and minimal design has been a life saver for my feet! The Fli-Lyte2 is light, responsive and cushion is soft like a pillow for my feet! My foot pain is gone and I can enjoy road running again!
Only downside is laces can come undone from time to time, but that’s not a deal breaker when you have happy feet while running!
Happy to be part of the Topo Ambassador team this year!
I consider myself a trail runner and I had tried to avoid running on the road at all costs - until I gave the Fli-Lyte 2 a run. They are amazing. They are lightweight, and despite having some cushion, they are extremely responsive. I love that I can still feel the road and still have a little cushion in my shoes. With the Fli-Lyte 2, road running can be enjoyable for me. I have been able to wear them for short, quick runs and long, slow runs up to 16 miles with no problems - Topo Ambassador
Love these shoes. These were my first experience with TOPO and I feel like I finally found a shoe that actually fits my foot. They feel incredibly fast. I've been using them for my speed workouts and will be giving them their first race test in a week. I have no doubts they will perform perfectly. I am a long distance road runner.
I was hesitant to switch running shoe brands, but once I tried the Topo Fli-Lyte 2's I was hooked. I literally feel like I'm running without shoes when wearing these. They are super light and easy to put on during triathlon transitions. I'm now an Ambassadro for Topo, but my feedback is written from an average Joe who became excited about the brand long before taking on an Ambassador role.

I have grown to really love this shoe. For the first few months I only wore them on shorter track/tempo runs but over time I started using them for longer (20+ miles). they are light and quick on the track yet comfortable and supportive enough for longer runs. Interested to see how they hold up with more miles. Overall, a great value.
Topo is a great shoe for my foot. I love the FLI-LYTE 2 , they are great on the roads and are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I originally had the Magnifly and they were great. I only switched to the FLI-LYTE 2 because the Magnifly 2 was not out yet. If you like a big toe box and have funny looking feet like me, TOPO is a great shoe to try.

Just enough cushion while maintaining that road feel. Light, fast, responsive. Not too soft and not too stiff - just right! This is now my goto workhorse replacing my Altra (Torin, Escalante & Instinct). The 3mm stack is a nice alternative to the 0mm and I've found alternating a good way to strengthen/challenge the body/feet. I've been trying to find that sweet spot that Newton Running (Gravity) gave me - Looking no further. These kicks are awesome!
I have wide forefeet that are always pinched in "normal" shoes and require me to size up from my true size of 10.5 to an 11 or sometimes 11.5. The fly-lyte 2 in 10.5 fit great! Super comfortable, tons of room for my toes, and I like the slight amount of arch support they have.
The only issue I found is that during my first run in these shoes, after about 9 miles the uppers started to dig into my feet near the vamp, where they flexed with each step. It was pretty painful and I worried that these shoes wouldn't work. In an attempt to remedy the situation, I went for a few walks in the shoes to break them in a little more. With that, the problem seems to have resolved itself. Now they're great, and hopefully they go on sale at some point so I can stock up!
[Not a Topo affiliate or ambassador, just a happy customer who paid full retail.]
These shoes fit great, are light, and are great for speed or distance. I really wanted to love them.
My issue is with the durability. The sole of the shoe is mostly exposed foam, instead or rubber. This foam does not hold up well on any surface type. I can't attach a picture here, however after about 2-3 months of running approximately 20 miles/pw the soles of these shoes are shot. The foam has is now completely worn down and flat with no lugs. A portion of the rubber has been ripped off under the forefoot due the foam being gone.
I can no longer run in these shoes, and will be hesitant to try again as they seem very cheaply made products of China.

In the interest of transparency, I'm a Topo Athlete Ambassador so get the opportunity to try many models but this shoe is outstanding. I'm not the lightest runner (my weight is 185 lb. give or take) but this shoe has ample cushion for me on even longer runs and it's awesome on shorter runs when I want to go and feel fast. This is my road race shoe, track workout shoe, and the shoe that I select when I just want to mix it up from my usual the Ultrafly 2. At 3 mm drop I don't even notice the difference from the Ultrafly 2 (5 mm drop) but I do notice the decrease in weight. Feeling fast is probably more important than anything when it comes to race day and this shoe does that for me.
When I started back running again, I was really loving the Saucony Kinvara. Eventually they tapered off the toe box more and more in each version, and I realized I needed more room up front. I was happy to eventually find TOPO Athletic, and their Fli-lyte, 3mm heel drop, running shoes sounded pretty much right up my alley. The first version were a bit firmer in cushion, but I think they have nailed it in this second version. I think this version, the Fli-lyte 2s feel very similar to Kinvaras, but with that needed extra room up front. I am super duper happy with this shoe and know it will be a favorite for a long time. This shoe has spanned a lot of gaps in the shoe market and I have told all my traditional shoe wearing, road runner friends about them. Such a great shoe.
I am a TOPO Athletic ambassador, but the Fli-lyte and ST-2 were my first Topo purchase almost two years ago. I haven’t looked back since.

Big fan of the Fli-Lyte 2 for both training and racing. It's a great shoe for up-tempo training days, and has performed flawlessly in races from 5K right up to marathon distance.
For longer training runs I typically remove the regular insole and pop in the new Ortholite insole that comes with the Ultrafly 2. It provides just a little more cushion, is slightly more grippy, and basically just "feels" better on the long run.
At just over 8.5 oz for my size 9.5, it's light enough for speedy days, but cushioned enough for the long haul. Durability is excellent too - almost 600 miles on my first pair and still going strong.
Disclaimer - Topo Athletic Ambassador, but even if I wasn't, this would be my go-to daily training shoe.
I run in kinvara 9s and wanted to try something but close in spec. These look better but are very stiff/hard compared to the kinvara. Not very cusioned, springy, or flexible. Design is good just needs improved midsole
This is a solid high tempo speed shoe that has a ton more potential. The cushioning and fit are all great. Super responsive and feels great on the body.
I’m looking forward to seeing the next versions because there is potential to remove more material to make this shoe lighter and not impact quality. The tongue on the shoe is a bit bulky that could use significant reduction and the overall shoe could probably be a bit tapered. It’s not super wide but I feel like it could be a bit more agile.
Take the upper and heel counter from the runventure 2 and put that on this midsole, tread and I think you have a great shoe.
Looking forward to it’s progression.

A good shoe that would be a great shoe if there were more hard rubber on the outsole, especially under the arch. The shoe would be more stable and would wear better.
I'm so glad I stumbled across these shoes on the Internet. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn for running. I especially enjoy the wide toe box. These shoes run true to size. I was wearing a size 12 in Brooks, and a size 12 in these fit me perfectly.
